Performance, durability and flexibility for formwork
The H20 TIMBER BEAM is a key element for soffit and slab formwork, designed to offer a combination that is very difficult to match: low weight, high structural capacity and ease of assembly. This allows more agile site working, reduces effort during handling and accelerates execution times.
Its glulam spruce design, with a three-layer web and protected ends, is designed to withstand the intensive use inherent in construction. In practice, this translates into a long service life, fewer incidents from premature deterioration and a more cost-effective investment over the medium and long term.
Furthermore, it forms part of a clear and modular system that readily adapts to different floor plans, slab thicknesses, floor-to-floor heights, edge beams, suspended beams and formwork tables. The result is a flexible, safe and efficient solution, valid both for standard configurations and more demanding geometries.
Key benefits of the H20 TIMBER BEAM
Lightweight design that improves productivity: at approximately 5 kg per linear metre, the H20 TIMBER BEAM facilitates manual handling, reduces operative effort and speeds up both assembly and stripping on site.
Greater durability in real site conditions: incorporates protective end caps to minimise impact, wear and splitting, together with a water-repellent surface treatment that helps to preserve the beam in aggressive environments.
Controlled quality manufacturing: manufactured with selected spruce timber, high-quality flanges and a three solid-lamination web, improving stability, strength and reliability during continuous use.
Versatile system for multiple configurations: can be used as primary and secondary beam, simplifying material planning, reducing references on site and improving assembly logistics.
Time savings during execution: the H20 system works with a reduced number of components, fewer accessories and fewer props in certain configurations, promoting faster and more orderly working rates.
Adaptation to different slab types and layouts: the system allows spacings and configurations to be adjusted according to the slab thickness and type of sheathing board used, facilitating its use in projects with diverse requirements.
Simple assembly and stripping: the installation sequence is designed to be clear and repeatable, and stripping allows elements to be removed in an orderly manner, improving material rotation.
Quality concrete finish: combined with appropriate sheathing boards, the H20 TIMBER BEAM helps to achieve clean and demanding concrete surfaces, even at edge beams and special junctions.
Main components and accessories
4-way head
Placed on the prop, it allows one beam to be supported or two beams to be connected. A very useful component for resolving crossings and providing flexibility in the formwork layout.
Single head
Used to support H20 beams on intermediate props. Its function is to reinforce the system at required points without complicating assembly.
Applications of the H20 TIMBER BEAM
The H20 TIMBER BEAM is primarily used for:
- Soffit and slab formwork.
- Flat soffits.
- Formwork tables.
- Edge beams.
- Suspended beams.
- Slab edges and finishing strips.
- Building projects with high requirements for finish quality, safety and performance.
- Projects with different slab thicknesses, floor-to-floor heights and variable geometries.
