Agility, safety and assembly with minimal tools
SUPPORT SYSTEM is a re-usable horizontal formwork solution for the construction of waffle slabs with lost filler blocks, one-way ribbed slabs and flat slabs. It is designed to provide a clear, fast and easily repeatable installation, even in projects with demanding execution schedules.
Its approach stands out for working with only 3 basic elements: ledgers, secondary beams (bearers) and a trolley support. This reduces assembly complexity, facilitates material organisation on site and enables faster progress, using the hammer as the sole primary tool.
Operationally, it offers a very clear advantage: most material can be recovered 72 hours after concreting, improving equipment rotation and reducing the investment immobilised between floors. It also incorporates solutions that reinforce safety, such as assembly from ground level, secure board without nailing, and edge protection with safety nets and guardrails.
Key benefits of the SUPPORT SYSTEM
Simpler and faster assembly: the system operates with only 3 basic components, reducing errors, speeding up crew training and enabling a more orderly installation on site.
Early material recovery: 72 hours after concreting, most of the equipment can be recovered, improving the return per cycle and allowing rapid reuse of material in new pours.
No unnecessary re-propping: does not require prop movement until full striking, simplifying operations and avoiding manoeuvres that consume time and resources.
Greater assembly safety: metal components are assembled from ground level, reducing operative exposure during the initial work phases.
Stable and secure sheathing: the board locks into the steel structure without nailing, providing greater assembly stability and facilitating both erection and stripping.
More agile stripping: the design and coupling between profiles is conceived to facilitate element removal, accelerating dismantling and improving plant rotation.
High resistance for intensive use: structural elements are manufactured in high-strength steel, designed to withstand the daily demands of site use and maintain consistent performance.
Superior durability: the system uses galvanised material, an important advantage against wear and the demanding construction environment.
Reinforcement in areas of higher load: allows additional secondary beams to be added in areas with high slab loads, improving adaptability to different structural requirements.
Suitable for different structural solutions: adapts to joist slabs, waffle slabs, flat slabs and other horizontal concrete structures, making it a versatile option for different project typologies.
Better floor-by-floor material organisation: in the stripping sequence shown, approximately 80% of material can be recovered in the first phase, leaving only the continuous bearing line of secondary beams until the concrete reaches its characteristic strength.
Integrated collective protection: accommodates guardrails, under-slab safety nets and edge protection, particularly valuable for projects where safety forms part of overall performance.
Main components and accessories
Ledgers 4.20 m and 2.10 m
Components that level the secondary beams and serve for table formwork assembly. They help to organise the system modulation from the outset and maintain a stable structure.
Secondary beams (bearers) 4 m, 3 m and 2 m
Load-bearing elements that support the sheathing boards and the concrete load during the initial phase. They also fulfil a dual key function within the system: they assist in assembly and in secondary bearing.
Trolley support 1 m
Element designed for rapid formwork recovery. Available in steel and aluminium versions, it is one of the components that directly contributes to accelerating the stripping cycle.
Board 1.97 × 0.5 m
Re-usable formwork sheathing in 27 mm three-ply timber, completing the system closure and providing a firm base for concreting.
Applications of the SUPPORT SYSTEM
The SUPPORT SYSTEM is primarily used for:
- Joist slabs.
- Waffle slabs with lost filler blocks.
- One-way ribbed slabs.
- Flat slabs.
- Horizontal concrete structures in building construction.
- Multi-storey construction where rapid material recovery improves productivity and system cost-effectiveness.
